The BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS are preparing to play in front of sold-out crowds during the upcoming T20I double-headers against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with the University of Otago Oval the first venue to put the full-house sign up.
The Dunedin fixture on Tuesday March 18 is officially sold-out, while the opening T20I double-header at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Sunday is heading in the same direction with less than 500 tickets remaining for the 8,500 seat venue.
The opening two T20Is of the series are family-friendly day-matches with the WHITE FERNS and Sri Lanka women getting underway at 10:10am followed by the BLACKCAPS and Pakistan starting at 2:15pm.
Interest is high in both New Zealand teams with the BLACKCAPS only just returned from their run to the ICC Champions Trophy Final in Dubai, while the WHITE FERNS are embarking on their first T20I series since becoming ICC T20 World Cup Champions in the UAE in October.
Big crowds are in store when the series head to the larger venues for the final three games of the T20I double-headers, in which the WHITE FERNS will face the number one ranked Australian women.
The teams hit Auckland’s Eden Park for a Friday afternoon-into-evening March 21st showdown, followed by Tauranga’s Bay Oval on Sunday March 23 and Wellington’s Sky Stadium on Wednesday March 25.
The WHITE FERNS open their Life Direct T20I series against Sri Lanka as a stand-alone fixture at Hagley Oval tonight, starting at 7:15pm live on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+.
Tickets to the double-headers are competitively priced at $40 for an adult and $15 for juniors with discounts for students, seniors, families and groups.
Fans can purchase tickets online at tickets.nzc.nz and can receive a 15 percent discount on adult tickets by joining NZC’s free members club, Cricket Nation.
All T20I double-headers will be live on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+, with radio commentary available via Sport Nation.
