Yovich replaces Mills in development squad

BLACKCAPS seamer Kyle Mills has dropped out of the World Cup development tour of Australia beginning next month.

Mills is to have surgery to correct an ankle injury, and has dropped out of the squad captained by Craig McMillan.

State Northern Knights all rounder Joseph Yovich replaces Mills. Northland-born Yovich took 22 First-Class wickets at 36.59 this season and also recorded his best batting, making 144 against State Central Stags.

He also took 12 wickets in limited-overs competition, at 28.58.
