White Ferns reach final

The White Ferns have guaranteed themselves a place in the ICC Quadrangular Series final after a 91-run win over India at Chennai.

Suzie Bates struck her maiden ODI century to lead the New Zealanders to 272,

Bates was the star performer for New Zealand, making 122 from 134 balls and compiling century partnerships with Haidee Tiffen, her captain, and Rebecca Rolls, the wicketkeeper.

Nicola Browne then picked up two wickets, and Helen Watson conceded just 17 runs from her 10 overs, as India was restricted to 181 for nine from their innings.

India must beat Australia on Saturday to take ion the White Ferns again in the March 5 final.
