Vincent to return to Auckland for HRV Cup

Auckland Cricket today announced that one of its favourite sons, Lou Vincent, will be returning to the City of Sails for the next six weeks and will be available for the HRV Cup.

"Lou and his family were returning from the UK for the holiday season and we are delighted that he has decided to be available for the Aces over that period" said Chief Executive Andrew Eade.

"Lou has been playing League Cricket in England as an overseas player so he still qualifies here as a local player. He will have to prove his form when he arrives and earn selection, but we all know that an in form Lou Vincent will be a wonderful addition to the Aces for the HRV Cup and will be a big draw card for our fans," said Eade.

Vincent arrives on Friday 18th and will play club cricket for Takapuna on Saturday 19th before joining the Aces Twenty20 training squad. He will be available for the Aces One Day games against Wellington on December 23 and Canterbury on December 28 and then for the HRV Cup commencing on January 2nd.

Vincent could join what will be a star studded HRV Cup competition with all the Blackcaps available, as well as overseas drawcards such as Ravi Bopara, Thilikiratne Dilshan and Owais Shah, as two full rounds are played out across the course of January.
