BLACKCAP Tim Southee led Essex to a five wicket win over Glamorgan in the Friends Life t20 competition.
Southee took four wickets in the final over, including a hat-trick, to finish with figures of six for 16 as his side restricted the Welsh county to 144.
It isn’t the first time Southee has taken a hat-trick with the New Zealand quick taking three in three balls against Pakistan at Eden Park earlier in the year.
Scott Styris also played a major part with the recently retired BLACKCAP smashing 42 off 21 as Essex snuck home with five balls to spare.
