Jeetan Patel and Kyle Mills have returned to the BLACKCAPS squad for the second Test of The National Bank Series against the West Indies at Wellington’s Basin Reserve.
Both players were named in the squad for the first Test before returning to their provinces ahead of Round Six of the State Championship.
If selected, Patel will make his Test debut in his home city. Once again, two players will be released ahead of the match, which starts on Friday March 17.
The West Indies will be without there vice-captain, batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan, after he returned to the Caribbean after sustaining a thigh injury. No replacement will be called up.
