Round Two of the State League Twenty20 gets Under Way Today

The second round of the State League Twenty20 gets underway this afternoon across the country.

State Auckland Hearts v State Wellington Blaze 
Eden Park Outer Oval, Auckland, 4.30pm

The Auckland Hearts host the in form Wellington Blaze in a top of the table clash on the Eden Park Outer Oval.  Wellington are yet to be defeated in either State League competition this year, producing and chasing down big scores.  Auckland will need to remove Sophie Devine and Amanda Cooper early on the pitch that is averaging over 60 runs per wicket. 

State Northern Spirit v State Central Hinds 
Blake Park, Mt Maunganui, 4.00pm

Northern will be looking for more runs from the in form Kate Pulford to lift them from the bottom of the table in their match against the Central Hinds at Blake Park.  Pulford has been the rock at the top of the order for Northern, averaging an impressive 59 in State League and State League Twenty20.  Central will be looking to consolidate their position among the leaders after last weeks impressive ten run victory over defending champions, Canterbury.

State Canterbury Magicians v State Otago Sparks 
QE II Park, Christchurch, 4.00pm

The Canterbury Magicians and Otago Sparks meet at QEII Park in Christchurch.  Both teams are yet to register a point after the first round and will be keen to get on the board.  Canterbury captain, Haidee Tiffen will be expecting an improved performance from her batsmen after providing the highest individual scores in all every match this season.  Otago will look be hoping for more of the same from White Ferns all rounder Sarah Tsukigawa.
