Just weeks into the one-day summer, significant records have already been smashed in both The Ford Trophy and Hallyburton Johnstone Shield.
It's been open season on Major Association all-time partnership records in particular, with three of them falling in the space of 48 hours last weekend!
This is not the kind of thing that happens every day - with team records stretching back over the decades and players striving to get near the Major milestones throughout their careers.
Winning stands of significance were smashed in both the women's Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and in the men's Ford Trophy - all three record partnerships contributing to a valuable team win.
Will more records fall tomorrow when round two of The Ford Trophy gets underway in New Plymouth, Auckland and Hamilton? Stay tuned, with livescoring and free livestreams on the NZC app and at nzc.nz every game of the regular Domestic season.
MITCH HAY and ANGUS McKENZIE
New Canterbury List A men's eighth wicket partnership record: 117
The Canterbury lads took their solid Plunket Shield touch straight into white-ball. The pair ensured their side got a total on the board - even while BLACKCAPS and Firebirds quick Adam Milne was busy bagging a sizzling 5/24 for the opposition. Despite Milne's speccy, keeper-batter Hay (75 off 91) and allrounder McKenzie (58 off 70, batting at nine) propped up Canterbury's total of 220 and made sure the team batted into the last over. Their efforts not only led to a 63-run for their team, but even a bonus point!

GEORGIA PLIMMER and LEIGH KASPEREK
New Wellington Blaze List A women's third wicket and all wickets record: 222
If you were lucky enough to watch this match, your head will still be spinning from WHITE FERN Georgia Plimmer's knockout maiden century for her Wellington Blaze side. It was even her maiden fifty, and she went on to reach 147 which is the third highest score by anyone in the history of her team. But she didn't do it all alone. Captain Leigh Kasperek was her partner in the sublime, cutting loose with a terrific knock of 89 off 98 balls. Their double century record stand was a fantastic way to make sure everyone remembered the first ever Hallyburton Johnstone Shield game under lights - and clocked up a big bonus point win for the defending champions in their third-round clash with ND.
JEET RAVAL and BRETT HAMPTON
New Northern Districts List A men's seventh wicket record: 129
Everyone knows how hard Brett Hampton can hit the cricket ball. The ND allrounder and former top youth tennis player can smash it all right, as the Central Stags will tell you. The defending champions were on the receiving end in Nelson when Hampton joined his anchorman captain Jeet Raval (96 of 103) to whack an unbeaten 88 of 73 balls at Saxton Oval in the first Ford Trophy match of the summer. ND went on to beat the defending champions thanks to those valuable late order runs.
