NZC - BLACKCAPS Team Manager

NZC is seeking to appoint a Team Manager to work with the BLACKCAPS while on tour during 2011 and 2012. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified manager.
The role will be required to travel with the BLACKCAPS team on all tours (International and nationally) and to attend team training camps where appropriate. The Team Manager will be responsible for the administration, organisation, and the welfare of all of the players and team management from the time the team departs on a tour until its dispersal upon return. It is a fixed term position.
The successful applicant will have:
- A passion for cricket and maximising the performance of our players
- Accredited trainer qualifications
- Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills
- Previous experience in the development of world-class athletes including the use of case management system/s
- An intimate knowledge of sporting program development and tour/team management
- An understanding of player development pathways at an international level
- Understanding of high performance models within an elite sports environment
- Understanding of core coaching principles
- A high level of integrity and credibility within the game or sporting community
- Ability to multi task and complete projects under changing conditions
- An influential personality with a high degree of self-motivation
- A willingness to be judged on results
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Knowledge of the structure and operations of cricket
- Knowledge of any associated legislation, regulations, policies and practices required for the position

NZC BLACKCAPS Physiotherapist

NZC is seeking to appoint a team physiotherapist to work with the BLACKCAPS while on tour during 2011and 2012. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Physiotherapist.
The role will be required to travel with the BLACKCAPS team on all tours managing all physiotherapy requirements. The role also includes close liaison with the BLACKCAPS Coach, Manager, Strength and Conditioning coach and other medical personnel to maintain optimal team fitness. It is a fixed term position.
The successful applicant will have:
- Registration to work as a physiotherapist in New Zealand
- Previous experience working with sporting organisations or teams
- New Zealand physiotherapy private practice experience (musculoskeletal)
- Previous experience working with strength and conditioning coaches
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel
- The ability to work in a team with players, team management, support staff and other officials
- A valid passport, a current driver’s licence, a first aid certificate and consent to a police clearance.

NZC BLACKCAPS Trainer
Location: Christchurch

Reporting to the BLACKCAPS Coach the focus of the position is to maximise the potential of the BLACKCAPS by putting in place targeted high performance training programs, and monitoring progress and performance.
The BLACKCAPS Trainer is responsible for ensuring appropriate strength and conditioning training for the team to best position for international competition. It is a fixed term position.
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven experience and success in a similar role at a senior level with at least 7-10 years experience
- Strong managerial and proven organizational skills with at least 3-5 years management experience
- Demonstrated involvement in a business administration and/or finance role in a commercial environment is preferred
- Experience gained from being involved in a cricket or sports background – as a participant, volunteer, or administrator - will be regarded favourably
- The ability to work as a team with players, team management, support staff and other officials
- A valid passport, a current driver’s licence, a first aid certificate and consent to a police clearance.
