ROUND TWO
Auckland and defending champions Central Districts remained unbeaten after the second round of one-day action, both also picking up their second bonus point, while Northern Districts picked up its first win.
• AUCKLAND u19 beat CANTERBURY u19 by 7 wickets
Auckland sent Canterbury in on Lincoln Green and got off to a great start thanks to three quick wickets to opening bowler Breearne Illing, who put herself on an unconverted hat-trick in the seventh over - including the big wicket of Magician and captain Missy Banks.
First drop Jodie Dean dug in for Canterbury with a 73-ball 46*, and she was still there unbeaten at the end after Auckland had ripped through the lower order to roll the locals for an even 100 all out in the 29th over.
That was never going to be enough for Canterbury to defend with the ball and Auckland raced out to a bonus point in just 25 overs.

The green machine kept rolling on as Central comfortably defended a lowish total on the small No.3 ground.
A new captain took the coin for the toss with Ocean Bartlett assuming captaincy duties, regular skipper Ashtuti Kumar also playing, but now also preparing to join the Central Hinds for the following day's Dream11 Super Smash for which she had been a late call-up.
Bartlett won the toss and batted just as Central had the previous day, but it was a challenging start with all the top five dismissed for single figure scores.
Hattie Vincent was on fire, picking up Cate Pedersen for a golden duck to put herself on an unconverted hat-trick in just the third over.
Yesterday's rock at the top Jess Hollard was meanwhile run out, Olivia Gain having a hand in that and finishing the innings with four catches as well in an excellent showing in the field.
But after having been in deep trouble at 25/5 after the loss of Kumar, CD fought back thanks to a much needed partnership between Bartlett (27) and fellow NZ Maori Secondary Schoolgirls rep Sam Mackinder (57).
Their 63-run stand for the sixth wicket was backed up by a 61-stand for the eighth between Mackinder and Olivia Clark (28) that helped CD recover to 162 before the last wicket fell in the 33rd over.
The ball was still in Otago's court but they, too, lost a string of early wickets to be five down for 74; Clark picking up three of the top five in her haul of 3-17.
Clark and Aniela Apperley were outstanding, Apperley going for just 1-6 off her five overs and bowling two maidens.
Forty extras inflated Otago's score of 128, but it still wasn't enough to get them out of a hole as CD finished them off in just the 28th over to stay unbeaten.
• NORTHERN DISTRICTS u19 beat WELLINGTON u19 by 96 runs
A theme of one player dominating the scorecard over the first two days at Nationals was continued by Makayla Templeton who came ever so close to chalking up a century for ND.
The Spirit representative reached 92 at almost run-a-ball pace, batting from the fourth to the fortieth over to provide the grist of ND's 199 all out.
Templeton paced her innings nicely after helping her side push past the early loss off her Spirit teammate Nensi Patel who was caught off Natasha Codyre at 17 for one.
Codyre went on to a good 4-32 off her nine overs while Templeton searched for support after ND had elected to bat.
Rubi Perano again provided some substance down the order for ND with 25, before they were bowled out with an over unutilised.
Wellington were keen to get on the board after a winless first day, but the loss of early wickets put them on the back foot early in the chase.
Emma Baker removed both openers for single digit scores, and later finished the innings with 3-20 off 5.2 overs.
In fact, Georgia Plimmer's 49-ball 37 was the only score in double figures, other than extra which continued to be prolific for most of the teams playing at this level.
Templeton had an outstanding all-round day going for just 1-8 off her seven overs, including a trio of maidens before Wellington found themselves all out for just 103 in the 38th over.
