NZC and Specsavers agree a two-year extension

Specsavers announced it has extended its sponsorship with New Zealand Cricket for a further two years.

The partnership, which began in 2010, positions Specsavers as the official sponsor of all domestic cricket umpires.

Specsavers is one of the world's largest eye care companies and has over 50 stores in New Zealand. The company name is well recognised globally for offering top quality eye care and optical services at exceptional value. The organisation has retail operations in 10 countries and last year sold more than 12 million frames.

NZC Chief Executive, David White, said he was delighted that New Zealand Cricket had consolidated its relationship with a global organisation of Specsaver’s reputation.

“We strongly value the relationship with Specsavers and we welcome their on-going commitment to cricket.

“Specsavers are an established international brand with extensive experience and we are thrilled they will continue their great work in raising the profile of domestic umpires.”

Managing Director for Specsavers New Zealand, Graeme Edmond, said he was confident that the relationship between Specsavers and domestic cricket umpires would continue to yield benefits to both parties.
