The New Zealand Under 19’s finished their internal tour on a high by crushing Auckland A by 93 runs in the one-day match at Cornwall Park in Auckland.

Dean Robinson and Tom Latham put on 143 for the first wicket as the Under 19’s amassed 248 after winning the toss and electing to bat.

Robinson reached 53 off 96 with Latham top scoring with 84 off 108,

Latham has been the standout batsman during the internal tour recording scores of 82, 36, 42, 55 and now 84 in the three-day, two-day and one-day matches.

Captain Craig Cachopa made a useful 34 with James Fuller hitting an aggressive 32 off 21 to finish the innings off.

Michael Bates was the pick of the Auckland A attack taking three for 52 off 10.

Auckland A looked to be on track at 119 for two but the fall of Jeet Ravel for 65 sparked a collapse that saw them rolled for 155 in the 37th over.

Andrew de Boorder batted nicely for his 42 but the day belonged to Under 19 bowler Nicolas Beard who took five for 25 off ten and completed two run-outs.

Ravel, de Booder and Beard will be team mates in the Emerging players team that has been named to play England A in February.
