BLACKCAPS all-rounder Craig McMillan is receiving treatment for a bruised right foot sustained in training on Wednesday.
McMillan was taken from the ground for x-rays on the joint of his right big toe after being struck by a Shane Bond yorker.
He has major swelling of the joint and more will be known about his availability for the BLACKCAPS’ opening ICC Cricket World Cup game against England when the team train tomorrow (midday local time; 5am NZ time).
The BLACKCAPS team will be named prior to the match, which begins 9.30am local time (2.30am NZ time).
England have their own injury worries, with right-arm quick James Anderson ruled out of the match with a broken finger.
The Lancashire bowler may now miss the entire World Cup.
