KP eyes win in third Test

Kevin Pietersen believes that England can win the third Ashes Test but he knows that the tourists need to play smart, positive, attacking cricket.

Despite dominating the large majority of the second Test in Adelaide, England heads to Perth down 2-0 in the series and the South African-born batsman knows there is plenty at stake in Perth.

"We know what we've got to do this week - it's crunch time," Pietersen told reporters in Perth.

"We'll be going out with all guns blazing knowing we've got to play positive cricket and we've got to win this Test match."

Talking after a net session, the 26-year-old indicated that all of his team-mates know the importance of this match, and that their training had shown they were ready to take battle again against Australia.

"Our training session showed that we mean business," he said.

"The boys have been put through their paces massively and from the first ball that was bowled in the nets this afternoon it was 90mph-plus."

Pietersen is also looking forward to trying to gain some revenge against Shane Warne in the Perth Test.

The talented right-handed batsman described the ball that got him out in the second innings in Adelaide as 'a great ball' but denied he was psychological tainted by the wicket.

"I've always enjoyed facing Shane and I'll enjoy facing him this week," he said.

"It was a great ball which pitched outside leg stump and hit my off stump and there's nothing you can do about it but just say he's the greatest bowler that's lived."
