Kiwis to star in Friends Provident T20 competition

While New Zealand is heading into winter, in the Northern Hemisphere the cricket season is heating up.

The domestic Friends Provident Twenty20 competition kicked off last week in the UK, featuring 18 counties and a number of well known players from New Zealand.

The competition is spilt into north and south divisions with games being played between June and July, with the top four teams from each division continuing onto the quarter finals. The overall final will be played on August 14.
