India makes changes

India's hopes of dispatching Australia and the West Indies in the upcoming tri-series have taken a turn for the worse with star batsman Yuvraj Singh set to miss the opening fixture.

The 24-year-old has succumbed to a viral fever and is not expected to join the team in Kuala Lumpur until the scheduled date of the first match against the West Indies.

The loss of Singh is a stern blow for India with the star striker having hit four centuries one-day international centuries in the last year.

However, in positive news, Sachin Tendulkar will mark his return to the international arena after recovering from shoulder surgery.

Tendulkar has been sidelined since March this year.

India coach Greg Chappell revealed there were no concerns regarding the 33-year-old star's shoulder.

"Sachin is looking very good. We have no concerns about him at all," he told the BBC.

The three teams will face each other twice before the final on September 24.
