Claire Taylor’s half-century led England to a 97-run win over New Zealand A in their opening one-day tour match at Lincoln.
Taylor made 62 and put on 107 for the third wicket with Jenny Gunn (47) as the English put on 183 for nine from their 50 overs.
Wellington Blaze bowlers Sian Ruck and Lucy Doolan took three wickets each.
England, fresh from retaining the Ashes in Australia, restrained the NZ A reply, with wicketkeeper Rachel Priest top scoring with 22, one of only three double-figure scores.
Medium pacer Isa Guha took three for nine from her 6.2 overs.
