England defeat Ireland

England completed a regulation 48-run win over Ireland in the ICC World Cup Super Eight Series.

Paul Collingwood steered England out of early troubles with 90 as they moved to 255 for seven at Guyana’s Providence Stadium.

England bowled out Ireland for 218 with 11 balls remaining. Niall O'Brien provided 63, while Andrew Flintoff claimed four for 34.
