Double defeat for NZ A White XI

The New Zealand A White XI fell to a pair of defeats in their Sunday Twenty20 double header against Pakistan and Australia.

Misbah ul Haq struck a rare Twenty20 century to help Pakistan A to a 61-run win in the morning game.

Misbah made an unbeaten 107 from 76 deliveries at Darwin‘s Marrara Stadium after New Zealand A won the toss and elected to field.

But Pakistan’s experienced all-rounder came to the wicket at 32 for three and carried his bat to help set a total of 164 for a cost of four wickets.

Despite starts from the top order batsmen, the New Zealanders were dismissed for 103 with more than three overs in hand.

Having won the toss, Australia skipper Brad Haddin batted first, leading the way with a half-century.
