De Grandhomme to represent Northern Districts

BLACKCAPS allrounder Colin de Grandhomme has confirmed he will play his domestic cricket for Northern Districts in the 2018-19 season.

De Grandhomme has represented Auckland since 2007, but has opted to make the shift to Northern Districts having bought property in Tauranga.

While the move would make things easier logistically, de Grandhomme said it was a tough decision to leave Auckland.

“I have a lot of respect for Auckland Cricket and want to thank the team and the staff for everything they’ve done for me over the years,” said de Grandhomme.

“It was a hard decision, but I’m looking forward to representing Northern Districts in a big season ahead.”

De Grandhomme is currently in India for the IPL.
