The next best score came from Henry Blackwell with a patient 34 of 98 balls. The most successful CD bowlers where Ben Wheeler and Tim Richards both taking 3 wickets each, however mention should be made of Adrian Milne who took 1-23 of 10 very economical over’s. With Central Districts at the crease they nearly threw the game away after being in total control at 163-2 after a 133 run partnership between Sam McConville (79) and William Young (58). CD lost 4 wickets for 31 runs before finally beating Auckland with 10 balls to spare and 4 wickets in hand. Otago failed to see through their 50 over’s after winning the toss and deciding to bat first. The only batting performance of note was 48 by Ben Cant. Wellington’s bowlers all performed well with Harry Wright having the remarkable figures of 2-7 of his 10 over’s including 6 maidens. Luke Boydajian was again in amongst the wicket takers with  3-31 of 9.3 over’s as was Matt Taylor with 2-11. The Otago bowlers started well and with Wellington 10-2 they felt they may have been in with a chance.  However a 73 run 3rd wicket partnership between Taylor and Wright put and end to any chance they may have had. Wellington then made quick work of the Otago score winning by 5 wickets with 19 over’s left. Harry Wright made a half century being well supported by Matt Taylor (35). The pick of the Otago bowlers were Matt Hunter and Chris Ware with a couple of wickets each.

Ross Fitz-John top scoring with 28 batting at number 8 and Rory Darkins (22) at number 9. Ash Vodnala opening the innings provided some stubborn batting scoring 27 from 99 balls and being the 6th wicket to fall.
