A New Zealand Selection XI to play England in a three-day first class match at Dunedin’s University Oval this week will be announced on Monday.
State Otago Volts, who were scheduled to play the tourists, will not now play after qualifying for Sunday’s State Shield final against Auckland Aces at Eden Park Outer Oval.
The team will be selected from players from the four other Major Associations - Canterbury, Wellington, Central Districts and Northern Districts.
The match commences on Thursday (28 February).
The announcement of the BLACKCAPS squad for the first National Bank Test against England next month, scheduled for Wednesday, will now be made later in the week.
