Ten players have been considered for selection from outside NZC’s contracted list.

BLACKCAPS coach John Bracewell said: “We are pleased that some new players have come into contention and that Chris Harris has been included in squad.

“These new players performed well during the recent development tournaments in Australia and deserve the recognition of being included in the squad.

“Chris Harris has shown what he can do in the past and remains an option for the selectors.

“Craig McMillan was omitted from the 30 because of concerns about his fitness.

“This does not mean Craig has been ruled out of contention for next year’s World Cup but he will need to focus his efforts if he is to be selected for the BLACKCAPS over the summer.”
