Central Districts Association Chief Executive Officer announced

The Central Districts Cricket Association today announced the appointment of Hugh Henderson as new Chief Executive Officer.

Incumbent Blair Furlong will retire from the position on May 31, following an administrative career with the Association spanning three decades.

Chairman of Central Districts, John Fluker, said that he was delighted to appoint Henderson, following an extensive recruitment process.

“Hugh has excellent commercial and management credentials and comes into the game with a real passion for cricket and its opportunities,” he said.

Henderson is currently Commercial Operations Manager at the New Zealand Rugby Union.

“I have always had a genuine love of cricket. To be able to combine that grass-roots passion with the skills that I have garnered in my professional life in the corporate and sporting worlds is a rare opportunity,” he said.

“I am excited by the challenges and potential of cricket within Central Districts.”

Henderson will officially commence in the new role on May 10.
