Canterbury Cricket welcomes Hagley Oval decision

Canterbury Cricket have issued the following press release regarding the Hagley Oval decision

Canterbury Cricket is delighted with the outcome of the Environment Court decision which means the Hagley Oval project can continue to progress.

Lee Germon, CEO, stated that “this decision is positive not only for hosting cricket world cup but also for the sport of cricket and our city in future years.  While we are very pleased with this decision we know that the matter now needs to go before the CCC Council to consider whether to grant a lease to Canterbury Cricket for the proposed pavilion and light towers.  We are obviously hopeful the Council will approve this.”

Canterbury Cricket will need to consider in detail the decision and work through the conditions that have been put in place to see what the implications are for the development.

These will need to be added to depending on what the restrictions are.
ie. if they are conditions that we proffered during the EC hearing then we know that they are manageable.  If there are different or amended conditions we need to work through these to determine the impact of them on the project.
