BLACKCAPS trio in world elite

Three BLACKCAPS bowlers remain in the world's top 20 according to the latest ICC Test Rankings.

National Bank Player of the Year Shane Bond is the top New Zealand in fourth, up one place from his previous ranking.

James Franklin moves into the top 20 in 15th position, while Daniel Vettori also moves up one place to 18th place in five-day game's elite echelon. The left-arm spinner also holds fourth place in the all-rounder positions.

Sri Lanka's prolific spinner Muttiah Muralidaran holds a comfortable lead in the bowling lists.

Stephen Fleming leads the way for Kiwi batsmen, in 16th place of a chart topped by Ricky Ponting.

Ponting's Australia holds a 21-point lead over England in the team Test Championship. The BLACKCAPS rank seventh, with 93 points.
