Bangladesh eliminate India

Bangladesh took the final place in the Super Eight Series and eliminated India with a seven-wicket victory over Bermuda at Port of Spain’s Queen’s Oval.

In a match reduced to 21 overs per side after rain in Trinidad, the islanders were restricted to 94 for nine, with Abdur Razzak taking three for 20.

Right-arm medium pacer Saleem Mukuddem took three top order wickets to slow the Tigers’ response, but they completed victory with more than three overs to spare.

The result pushes Habibul Bashar’s into the last eight, eliminating their illustrious neighbours and former champions.
