BLACKCAPS captain Daniel Vettori has won the toss and sent Australia into bat in the third Chappell-Hadlee ODI at Hobart.
Vettori won his third toss of the series and called on Ricky Ponting’s side to set a total.
The BLACKCAPS require a win at the Bellerive Oval to retain the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy, and will look chase down the hosts’ total.
Mark Gillespie has replaced Chris Martin for the tourists, while Brad Haddin comes in for Adam Gilchrist.
Michael Clarke has been elevated to Gilchrist's opening slot.
