Auckland A beat NZ Under 19's by 52 runs

The New Zealand Under 19 team have lost the one-day match against Auckland A by 47 runs at Cornwall Park in Auckland.

The Under 19’s started their chase positively with three of the top four getting runs.  Tom Latham hit 55, D Robinson 30 and captain Craig Cachopa struck an aggressive 63.

They were on track at 202 for 6 in the 42nd over but Cachopa’s dismissal with 56 still required spelt the end for the Under 19’s and they soon crumbled to be 210 all out.

Bhupinder Singh was tight and accurate with the ball for Auckland A taking three for 22 with batting star Tarun Nethula chiming in with two scalps.

The two teams meet again tomorrow in the last match of the New Zealand Under 19’s internal tour.
