All publicly allotted tickets for the first for days of the upcoming Ashes Test matches at the SCG, WACA and Adelaide Oval have been sold.
Cricket Australia released over 100,000 remaining tickets for the upcoming summer of cricket in Australia, and days one to four of all three Test were sold out in quick time.
While tickets are still available for some of the one-day matches in the three cities, Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland last week urged fans to get to the Melbourne Test if they want to be part of the Ashes Test series.
And while ticket sales continue to go through the roof, Barmy Army founder Paul Burnham has told the BBC that record numbers will flock to Australia regardless of ticket availability.
"People will head over to Australia anyway - with the big stadia they have they will fancy their chances of getting in," he said.
"And you're watching in the same time zone with the sun on your back."
"We had between 25-40,000 there last time when England were getting thrashed but, with the success they had winning the Ashes last year, demand has gone up."
