Incessant rain has washed out the first One Day International between the BLACKCAPS and Sri Lanka at Pallekele International Stadium today.
The five-match series was due to get underway at 2.30pm but the teams didn’t even leave the hotel.
Persistent showers left the match officials no choice but to call the match off at 5.00pm.
The team head to Colombo tomorrow where they will meet in the second ODI on Sunday.
