After yesterday's washout in Auckland, Sunday's rematch saw the Canterbury Magicians take the interim lead on the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield table with a bonus point win.
In another quick, low-scoring match, Canterbury Magicians captain Laura Hughes again won the toss and bowled on a humid morning, and the Hearts were again in early trouble against the dangerous Canterbury attack.
The Hearts bowled out for just 116, this time the wickets were shared around the Magicians' attack with Lea Tahuhu backing up the previous day's bag with 2-23 off her seven overs.
Gabby Sullivan returned an outstanding 3-14 off her nine overs as the Hearts struggled to get momentum, particularly aftef the loss of veteran Katie Perkins's guiding hand in the 15th over for just three.
Captain Prue Catton gritted her teeth for 22 while Josie Penfold contributed the top score of 23 at nine.
It wasn't enough to put pressure on a Magicians line-up with Amy Satterthwaite in the mix.
The star came in at 11/2 and settled in to clip an unbeaten 49*, Nat Cox hitting the winning boundary in just the 19th over of the 50-over match for a bonus point.
