Westlake Boys’ put up a strong total of 219, Wesley Sleep top-scoring with a well-made 68 runs and Brayden Gaylor the pick of the bowlers for Hamilton Boys’, picking up 3-43.

In reply, Hamilton Boys’ number four batsman Jamie Moore had a good knock of 50 runs and he had support throughout the innings to get close to their target, but unfortunately for Hamilton Boys’ they fell 21 runs short. It was largely thanks to the superb bowling of Angus McKenzie who bagged 5-38.

The win for Westlake Boys’ resulted in a runners-up finish for the tournament, while Hamilton finished in a hard-fought fourth place.
