Central Districts U19 emerged as the only remaining unbeaten team at Nationals after defending champions Auckland U19 edged Wellington U19 on Day 3 of the one-day action.

A tight 4-run loss to defending champions Auckland Under 19 ended Wellington's unbeaten streak as the two teams went head to head at Bert Sutcliffe Oval.
Auckland had won the toss and batted, posting 213/9 in their 50 overs with great propulsion from the opening pair.
Emma Irwin (78) and Anna Browning (60) put on a century stand together, and reached 101 for no loss in the 24th over before Wellington began a big fightback with the ball.
Irwin batted deep, almost carrying her bat into the 48th over of the match, but by then she had lost a steady stream of partners with Bryant picking up 3-30 as well as having a hand in a runout.
Blaze rep Tash Codyre wheeled in for two late wickets to have 2-40.
In the chase, Wellington was undone by a poor start that saw them needing an urgent rebuild from 33/4 in the 12th.
Rachel Bryant (56) and Kate Chandler (56) did just that, both reaching half centuries in a 115-run stand for the fifth wicket thaht saw no wickets fall for almost the next 20 overs.
But when Kate Irwin broke through with Chandler caught behind, the gates were opened again and despite a fighting unbeaten 34 from Francis, Auckland rattled through for an exciting and close four-run victory.

Across the hedge on Lincoln Number 3, the match between unbeaten Central Districts Under 19 and local team Canterbury Under 19 was nowhere near as close, with CD taking a landslide 134-run victory to go three from three.
CD captain Ocean Bartlett won the toss and batted, and despite a lean start this time around from the top and middle order, the late order fired up with the goods as Central showed its depth.
Canterbury had been in a strong position with CD 81/5 in just the 20th over and the big names all back in the tent. But after stabilising contributions from Flora Devonshire (21) and Sam Mackinder (37), Aniela Apperley and Abby Treder put on 90 in a match-saving eight wicket stand.
That got CD a total of 260/9 as they saw out their overs after all, Abigail Hotton and captain Libby Stead the best of the Canterbury attack with 3-42 and 2-39 respectively.
Unfortunately for Canterbury they could not find a similar partnership in reply after losing a slew of early wickets themselves, opener Izzy Sharp top-scoring with 47. Hinds spinner Ashtuti Kumar picked up 4-21 off her five overs, Grace Foreman 3-38 and Ocean Bartlett 2-15 as Canterbury was dismissed well short in just 29 overs.

The third match at St Andrew's College saw Otago Under 19 take a big win off ND U19.
Choosing to bat first, Northern was able to muster only 109 in 31.2 overs, captain Makayla Templeton top-scoring at 5 with 33 after Chloe Deerness had a blinder with the ball for Otago, whipping up 4-21 off her 10 overs.
A good start in reply with opening batter Paige Loggenburg reaching an unbeaten half century (51* off 48) meant the result was never in doubt, Otago chasing down their target in just the 16th over.
