New Zealand Cricket is proud to support Heart Kids NZ, and this August is the big Heart Kids appeal month!

Each week 12 babies are born with a heart defect in New Zealand. Heart Kids NZ supports them every step of the way by providing them with practical, emotional and psychosocial services – be it an information brochure, specialist equipment, leadership development for heart youth and adults, a camping experience, an opportunity to connect with other families, a hot meal for hospital-bound families, or just a shoulder to cry on.

The August Born Fighter campaign depicts three brave Heart Kids. Like many other Kiwi kids they’ve been forced to fight for their lives from day one because of a heart defect. Sadly, some of them may not live to see their teenage years.
