The BLACKCAPS have the West Indies to thank for their latest rise in the ICC ODI Championship table.
The Caribbean side’s 4-1 home series victory over India saw the visitors plummet in the rankings, with the New Zealanders reaping the benefits.
The BLACKCAPS now sit in fourth place, on 113 points, three ahead of the Indians and one adrift of Pakistan.
The West Indies has not been able to improve on its eighth position in the LG ICC ODI Championship table but Brian Lara’s side has gained seven rating points because of the 4-1 series win.
It means it is now just five points behind seventh-placed England in the table.
In the Test Championship table, the BLACKCAPS lie in sixth place.
