Windies square series

The West Indies have levelled their one-day series against India in Jamaica after claiming a nail-biting one-run win in the final over of the second one-dayer.

After they could only manage the modest total of 9-198 from their allotted 50 overs, the West Indies responded in the field as Dwayne Bravo claimed the match-winning wicket with only two balls remaining.

Ramnaresh Sarwan led the way with the bat for the home side striking an unbeaten 98 compiled from 138 balls faced.

Carlton Baugh was the next highest scorer with 21, as the West Indian batting line-up once again floundered to post what had seemed to be a meagre total.

The Indians shared their wickets around with Irfan Pathan claiming 3-45 from his nine overs and Ramesh Power taking 2-38 from his 10.

In reply to the West Indies, The Indian top order collapsed and at one stage the visitors were precariously placed at 4-60.

Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina then combined for a 64-run fifth wicket partnership to give the visitors the upper-hand, before Raina was caught at long-off for 27.

Despite a solid 93-run contribution from Singh, the Indians fell just one run short of the set total and will now travel to St Kitts for the third match of the series.
