Cricket fans your wait is over!
The WHITE FERNS start their international summer this weekend with the first of three T20I matches against Australia starting on Saturday at North Sydney Oval, Sydney.
“I’m really looking forward to taking on Australia in my first series as captain. It will give me a great opportunity to settle in and create strong relationships with the bowlers and get plans sorted for a big summer of cricket,” said WHITE FERNS captain Amy Satterthwaite.
“We like playing against the Australian Women, it’s a good test for us and we’ve had some good battles against them in recent times. They have experienced campaigners with an injection of youth this series so it will be interesting to see how we go up against them,” said head coach Haidee Tiffen.
After claiming a five-wicket victory against a Cricket Australia XI on Thursday, the team are looking forward to an exciting T20I contest against the Southern Stars.
