The list of players named for Rose Bowl series contains two changes from the squad who recently took part in the recent ICC World Twenty20, with Rachel Candy and Rachel Priest recalled to the side.

National Selection Manager, Kim Littlejohn said: “We have selected a strong squad that contains a core group of experienced and proven performers.

“The majority of the squad were part of the White Ferns side that made the semi-final off the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.

“Rachel Priest has been selected on the back of some very strong domestic performances. She is an experienced wicket-keeper who is capable of batting anywhere in the order.

“Rachel Candy is a seasoned performer who has shown huge improvement in the last 12 months and will bolster the seam bowling ranks.

“Every player in the line-up will be making sure they put their best foot forward ahead of the upcoming ICC Women's World Cup.”

White Ferns Head Coach, Katrina Keenan said: “We are heading to the Rose Bowl with a talented side and we look forward to seeing how we square up against the Australians.

“It is a strong all-round team with an experienced look to it.

“There is plenty of batting depth with a good mix of hard hitters and skilful stroke-makers.

“The bowling attack has a lot of variety, we have excellent fielders with plenty of energy and brilliant leadership.

"It is an exciting opportunity for the players to make further strides in developing their one-day skills ahead of the upcoming ICC World Cup.”
