Make sure you tune into What Now? on TV2 at 8am this Sunday (May 8) to watch the White Ferns and BLACKCAP Shanan Stewart appear on the popular family-friendly show.
White Ferns Sara McGlashan, Erin Birmingham and Sophie Devine ran a special training session with some MILO Cricket participants and Serena and Camilla the Gorilla from What Now? came along, which was filmed at the Cricket Express Centre of Excellence at Canterbury Cricket
The special segment, where the White Ferns teach Serena and Camilla cricketing skills and talk about their trip to the ICC World Twenty20 tournament, will be on just after 8am on Sunday morning.
“It was great training with the White Ferns, they are a disciplined bunch but sure know how to make cricket fun. Best day training ever!” Serena said. “Good luck over there, bring it home! Make us proud!”
But make sure you stay tuned during the show to get a glimpse of new BLACKCAP Shanan Stewart. He participated in the final rounds of SLAM. It is an obstacle course tackled by primary school students and Stewart was on hand to give out prizes and handy tips to the participants.
Reuben Davidson, producer from What Now? said Stewart was a natural choice to be on the show. “He’s a role model for Kiwi kids, inspiring them to achieve their sporting dreams,” he said. “Shanan was really good in front of the camera and gave the kids some great tips.”
SLAM will be played throughout What Now? with the final happening about 9.45am.
