Details for Tuesday's Auckland airport arrival and Queen's Wharf welcome home event.

Welcome home BLACKCAPS

What a ride Cricket World Cup 2015 has been - and you get a chance to see the BLACKCAPS and cheer them on one more time. 

The BLACKCAPS are scheduled to arrive at Auckland International Airport at 1.45pm and fans are welcome to come out and welcome them home. 

 

Later that evening, Auckland will host a welcome home event tomorrow (Tuesday, 31 March) to mark the BLACKCAPS’ historic ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 campaign.

The welcome home event also provides the BLACKCAPS with an opportunity to say thank you to New Zealand for the unwavering support throughout the tournament.

The public event will take place in The Cloud on Queens Wharf, starting at 6pm. 

The team will arrive on Queens Wharf at 6pm before moving inside for an onstage presentation at 6.30pm. The public event concludes at 7pm.

Please note: 

  •          The Cloud will be open to the public from 4pm
  •          A screen outside Shed 10 will broadcast the event
  •          Speaking order is yet to be confirmed but will include the BLACKCAPS and Central Government
  •          If you’re traveling into the city for the event, plan your journey and travel early
  •          Buses, trains and ferries will run to normal schedules (visit www.at.govt.nz)
  •          There are no road closures in place for this event
