New Zealand Cricket has introduced video highlights of the men’s domestic competitions to www.blackcaps.co.nz.
All wickets and boundaries from the Plunket Shield, Ford Trophy and HRV Cup will be free to view online during the 2012/13 domestic season, with 90 games to be covered overall.
All non-televised matches will have a fixed camera positioned above the sightscreen to capture the action throughout play. The footage will then be uploaded and in most cases will be available on the website 24 hours after the close of the day’s play.
Exceptions to this will be for the televised HRV Cup fixtures. These highlights will be provided by SKY and can be expected to be available 48 hours after the matches’ conclusion. The same will apply for the Ford Trophy final which is also to be televised.
The video highlights can be found on the competitions’ schedules pages, where clips from the domestic season so far are available. The excerpts will remain on the page until the beginning of the 2013/14 season.
