Tickets go on sale today for the highly anticipated ANZ International Series between England and the BLACKCAPS.
Cricket fans are urged to get in quick to secure their seat to witness some great international action this season with the England tour starting on 4 February 2013 and finishing on 26 March 2013
The international summer starts with two Twenty20 warm-up fixtures followed by a three-match Twenty20 series, three One Day Internationals, a four-day warm-up match and three Test matches.
This year’s schedule features three international matches at Eden Park and to celebrate all three formats of the game returning to Auckland the public are being offered two unique ticket deals that are excellent value for money. Fans can opt for the ‘Double Deal’ consisting of the T20 and ODI and T20 where the second match has a 50% discount or ‘Triple Deal’ for all three formats where if you purchase the tickets for the ODI and T20 at full price you get a day’s pass to the Eden Park Test Match for free.
Tickets can be pre-purchased online at www.ticketek.co.nz or at Ticketek outlets throughout the country.
New Zealand Cricket Chief Executive Officer, David White, said there will be plenty of interest in the upcoming ANZ Series against a popular touring team with such a rich cricketing history.
“We are really excited about hosting England this year in what promises to be a world-class spectacle.
“There will be strong interest at home and abroad so we urge fans to get in early to secure a ticket this summer.
“Along with a guaranteed seat, there are other benefits associated with pre-purchasing such as avoiding queues and a lower ticket price.”
“With world-class cricket on offer and the Barmy Army contributing to the off-field energy and atmosphere we encourage all New Zealand fans to get along and support the BLACKCAPS.
“We are conscious of the financial demands on family funds and have set affordable prices that are attractive to fans.
“Junior tickets can be purchased and concession prices are offered to students and seniors making a day at the cricket compare favourably to other forms of entertainment and sporting events.
“A new ticketing initiative is in place for the Eden Park matches with fans getting a discount when attending the ODI and T20 and further savings if they pre-purchase for all three forms.”
All international matches will be broadcast live and exclusively in New Zealand on SKY TV and Radio Sport while blackcaps.co.nz will score all matches live.
