Third Test drawn after abandonment

The BLACKCAPS' third National Bank Test against the West Indies at Napier’s McLean Park has been abandoned.

The pitch and outfield were subject to inspection at 11am on Wednesday, day five, but was again deemed unplayable after sustained wet weather.

The match was frequently interrupted by rain in the first two days and saw no play on days three and four because of a damp outfield.

When play was halted on Sunday, the tourists stood on 256 for four, with Runako Morton on 70 and Dwayne Bravo 22.

The BLACKCAPS won the series 2-0.
