Tauranga Intermediate School in lifted the NZC Cup for primary school boy’s while Takapuna Intermediate emerged victorious in the primary school girl’s NZC Shield competition.
In the Cup competition, Tauranga Intermediate dominated day two of the finals tournament thanks to its captain Jamie Oakley who batted through the morning game against Inglewood Primary to reach 49 and in the afternoon match against Heaton he took two for seven off his allotted four overs.
Shield winners Takapuna Intermediate continued their winning streak today, easily accounting for Tawa Intermediate and Heaton Intermediate. Takapuna captain Claire Kavanagh led from the front with the team’s top scores of 34 and 18.
