Abigail Kitchin’s half-century and Emma Campbell’s four-wicket haul secured victory for the State Otago Sparks over State Northern Spirit at Mt Maunganui.
Campbell claimed four for 39 after a stand of 92 from Spirit opener Tamara Gould (51) and Mandie Godliman (49) set the home team to a solid start.
But they lost five for 22 over a five-over spell, falling to 168 all out, Sarah Tsukigawa claiming two wickets in three 47th over deliveries.
Kitchin led the response from the top with 51, with Katey Martin finishing off the match with three fours for 21 not out from 15 balls.
