Smith to tour Australia

South African captain Graeme Smith will still tour Australia despite sustaining a finger injury while fielding against India in Mumbai.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed in a statement that the skipper would be on the tour.
However, he will most likely need to wear protection on the hand.

Smith injured a finger on his left hand attempting a catch during the fifth one-day international with India, but x-rays revealed there was no fracture.

The statement added Smith's finger will 'need protection for the next 10 to 12 days.

The first of South Africa's three Tests with Australia begins in Perth on December 16.
