The BLACKCAPS consistency in One Day Internationals has been rewarded with another move up the table, and similarly upward movements for the players.
The team now sits fifth on the Reliance ICC ODI Rankings table, moving ahead of England and nestled just one point behind Sri Lanka in fourth, reflecting the run of series wins against Pakistan home and away and Sri Lanka in the recent ANZ ODI Series. The BLACKCAPS sit fifth in Tests (four behind Pakistan) and seventh in Twenty20s (one behind the West Indies).
Kane Williamson is firmly placed in the top ten at sixth in the world, while Skipper Brendon McCullum is the highest mover on the batting ranks, going up 10 places to 18th after his 207 tournament runs so far.
Tim Southee, the Cup's leading wicket taker, went up ten places to 12 and was at a career high 638 points after his seven wicket haul against England in Wellington. His bowling partner Trent Boult went up 23 places to 24, his highest ever ODI ranking. Daniel Vettori remains the highest BLACKCAP bowler at ninth.
The ODI rankings are being updated after every match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, and there could be further movement by the time the tournament ends.
