New Zealand A has seen their One Day match against Sri Lanka A finish in no result, after rain ruined the opening fixture of the two sides’ Tri-series with the England Lions in the UK.
The heavens opened after just 5.3 overs of action at The County Ground in Taunton and did not relent thereafter. At the start of play the New Zealand side won the toss and opted to bowl first, restricting Sri Lanka to 31-1 in their short time out in the middle.
New Zealand next face the England Lions on Friday, before taking on Sri Lanka once again the following day.
