Day one of New Zealand A’s three day match against India A has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due to heavy rain and surface water.
The New Zealand side were supposed to begin their tour of India in Visakhapatnam yesterday, but have been forced to wait. Play is now scheduled to begin at 9:30am local time today (4pm NZ time).

Doug Bracewell – Central Stags
Ish Sodhi – Northern Knights
Mark Gillespie – Wellington Firebirds
Anton Devcich (12th man) – Northern Knights
Matt Henry will sit out the match with a slight side injury, while Corey Anderson is sidelined with a haematoma on his quad. Adam Milne is the other player not to feature, having only just joined the team in India. All three players are expected to be available for the next match starting 2 September.
